On my Canon, anything except P, Av, Tv, M, A-dep, is JPG-only, things like Full Auto, Portrait, Sports, Landscape, No-Flash Auto, etc.

Adobe support helped out. Downloaded Adobe - PostScript printer drivers : For Macintosh : PPD Files: Adobe and was able to select one in the PPD pull down and change to custom size. Worked like a charm.
