I am encoding with FMLE what I am capturing with a PCIe Blackmagic Infinity through HDMI. Then I am sending it to my Wowza Streaming Engine in a server in my Network. At the other end, when I receive my stream it's okay when FMLE is set to 60 fps but any other setting of this parameter results in a slow motion effect when playing the video at the other end. I tried with an iPhone, android mobile, iPad and also a notebook. I guess that the "Frame Rate" parameter in my FMLE refers to the frame rate of my source. I mean this field is like if FMLE were asking me :"What is the frame rate of the device I am capturing?" , because my source video (HDMI input at 720p) is 60fps and it also makes sense that any setting below 60 fps results in slow motion.
What I find in the manual of FMLE is that the setting Frame Rate (in encoding options under "Video") "[It] Specifies the target frame rate in frames per second" (Quote). After reading this I am not 100% sure whether this refers to the input signal in my coder or to the output. "Target", to me, means output. But 60 fps seems to be the perfect input as I explained in the first paragraph. It means input or output?
As the only way to configure my FMLE is with Frame Rate at 60 fps I always stream at this frame rate. Nevertheless, I would like to try lower frame rates, like 15 fps, as I have read in many forums other users do. How can I stream with lower frame rates without causing inevitably the slow motion effect.
If anyone can throw some light on the issue it would be very much appreciated.
I just need to clarify what this "Frame Rate" exactly setting refers to.
Thank you very much for your help fellow users.
