When I open a file with Adobe Reader the Command Menu is not visible

When I open a file with Adobe Reader the Command Menu is not visible.

So I can only work with the Command Buttons, but not all the commands are available (i.e. the Save command is not available.

I also cannot close the file because the "X" option in the blue bar is not available: I can only close the file clicking with the right button of the mouse in the start bar on the file icon.

I have tried to disinstall and install again Acrobat, but I got the same result.

What should I do to solve this problem?
