Yes, you can install it on 2 computers of same operating system. If you've bought it for Windows then it only can be installed on 2 Windows machines. Only if you buy Creative Cloud Subscription then you can install the applications on both Mac and Windows. Creative cloud subscriptions do not have the concept of serial numbers. The Serial Numbers were always platform specific.

What is the error message you are getting while installing it on Mac?
