From broken graphics drivers to filled temp folders to excessive use of fonts to color management issues anything could be at play here and well, if your "IT specialists" can't even diagnose such basic stuff... Provide detailed info on the aforementioned points, check your device manager and event viewer, clean out your temp folders, trash the program prefs to reset them and so on, and so on...
