I have been editing a timeline with several multicam clips that crashes Premiere anytime I try to play back a rendered preview (green bar) area.
First I render the sequence—playback is initially OK. Then after about 10 minutes, often after I have switched back from another program, without fail the playback will stutter and then freeze altogether on certain clips. Gradually more and more clips on the timeline will 'corrupt' until no playback is possible; the program monitor freezes. When I attempt to Delete Render files, I get the beachball cursor and Ppro locks up completely, prompting a force-quit and sometimes a "serious error has occurred" dialog box and then a crash notice of type "I386_GPFLT"
OSX 10.9.4
MacPro5,1
Nvidia GTX 570
I have tried so far:
-deleting preferences
-deleting cache
-deleting preview files
-swapping graphics cards
-switching to software-only playback
-swapping memory modules
-disabling Mavericks' "compressed memory" function
-changing cache and preview locations to another drive
-importing the project into a new one
The problem only occurs on timelines with multicam sequences. Does anyone else have this issue? Any ideas what's going on?
